A Tioga County woman is facing a number of charges in Penn Yan following a traffic stop on Friday.
62-year-old Cynthia Cross, of Barton, was stopped by police after they spotted her driving on the wrong side of the road and her car did not have license plates displayed. During the traffic stop, officers noticed multiple indicators of impairment. Cross was placed through standardized field sobriety tests, which she failed.
Cross submitted to a blood draw at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital and was eventually charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation or a motor vehicle and multiple other vehicle and traffic violations not disclosed.
Cross was released on appearance tickets for Penn Yan Village Court.
