A traffic stop conducted by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office on South Street Road in the town of Fleming resulted in the arrest of a Throop woman.
At 1:17 a.m. on February 24th, a Sheriff’s Deputy was on patrol when he observed a car driving north fail to maintain its lane and immediately conducted a traffic stop. The vehicle was driven by Luisanny Ogando. Following a roadside investigation, Ogando was placed into custody for driving while intoxicated. Ogando was brought to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office where she provided a breath sample of .18% BAC.
Luisanny was charged with DWI first offense and aggravated DWI. She was released on appearance tickets for Fleming Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
