Three-Time Convicted Felon Arrested in Steuben County on New Felony Charge

SHARE NOW

A traffic stop in the village of Bath resulted in the arrest of a three-time convicted felon on a new felony charge.

According to the Bath Police Department, Jesus Ponce was pulled over after being observed violating a New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law. The roadside investigation determined Ponce was allegedly driving on a suspended New York State License. The 69-year-old was taken into custody on a felony charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Ponce was processed and transported to the Steuben County Jail for CAP arraignment and was sent to Steuben County Jail without bail.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
