Three people have been arrested for their roles in two different shootings that happened on the same day earlier this summer in the city of Ithaca.
The first shooting took place on Adams Street at around 1:30 on the afternoon of June 29th with the second taking place about 20 minutes later on West Village Place. No one was injured in any of the shootings and investigators said at the time that all parties involved were known to each other. The three suspects arrested live in Ithaca and face a number of felony charges including attempted murder.
25-year-old Jeremiah Greenidge and 25-year-old Rashid Mack also face charges of attempted assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
After police took 31-year-old Daquan Graves into custody, they executed a search warrant at his residence, and reportedly found an illegally possessed and stolen handgun along with a high-capacity magazine, over a half-kilogram of meth, an ounce of cocaine, and four small envelopes of Fentanyl, as well as packing material and a scale.
In addition to attempted murder, Graves was arraigned in Tompkins County Court on these additional charges: attempted assault, three counts of criminal possession of a weapon, three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminal possession of a weapon, all felonies. He was also arraigned on a misdemeanor charge f criminally using drug paraphernalia.
All three men are being held at the Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
