Theft Investigation Leads to Shortsville Woman’s Arrest

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Shortsville woman following the investigation into the report of a theft.

During their investigation, deputies discovered that Jolene Baxter was allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol. As a result, Baxter was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Baxter received a traffic citation for the offense and is scheduled to appear in Manchester Town Court at a later date to answer the charge

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
