A Syracuse woman is facing two felonies after trying to pass off a forged check in Cayuga County.
Sheriff Brian Schenck reports the arrest of 55-year old Roberta Root Wednesday after allegedly trying to pass the fraudulent check at LNB Bank in the Town of Sennett.
Root was arraigned at the Cayuga County Jail and held without bail.
She will answer the charges of Forgery and Possession of a Forged Instrument next Wednesday in Sennett Town Court.
