A Syracuse woman was recently arrested by the Syracuse Police Department on two outstanding warrants from Cayuga County, charging her with felonies.
Rebecca Stevens was charged with possession of a forged instrument and assault. The warrants were issued out of Auburn City Court and Cayuga County Court. Stevens was turned over by Syracuse Police to the Auburn Police Department following her arrest.
Stevens was then brought to the Auburn Police Department, processed on her charges, and held pending arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
