A Syracuse man is facing charges after he allegedly gave police false identifying information during a traffic stop in Cayuga County.

On June 1st, the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a car they claim was speeding in a posted 25 mph zone on North Glenn Haven Road in the town of Sempronius. During the traffic stop, the deputy spotted a man in the front passenger seat, and while speaking with him, the individual allegedly provided a fake name and date of birth. Deputies recognized the male as 27-year-old Dylan Hulslander due to previous arrests and encounters with him.

Huslander was taken into custody and charged with False Personation, a misdemeanor. He was released on an appearance ticket for Sempronius Town Court.

Hulsander had several outstanding warrants with multiple agencies throughout New York and was turned over to those respective agencies.

he fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
