An Auburn woman was arrested by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office following an investigation into a suspicious vehicle in the area of Parcell and Miller roads in the town of Sennet.
When deputies arrived on the scene, the vehicle started to leave. A short time later, deputies conducted a traffic stop and determined the car’s driver, 38-year-old Claire Reidy was under the influence of alcohol.
Reidy was charged with driving while intoxicated as a felony due to a previous DWI conviction, failure to notify the DMV of an address change, and violation of an Open Container law.
Reidy was released to appear in Sennett Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
