The investigation into a suspicious vehicle at Roseland Bowl in Canandaigua early Tuesday morning resulted in the arrest of a Rochester man.
Ronald Jones was found in the parking lot after business hours sitting inside of a grey Tesla. The car was on and according to Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies, Jones was found sitting in the driver’s seat. Upon initial contact with Jones, he was allegedly observed to be very disoriented and struggled with fine motor skills. Deputies say Jones told them he drove his car from Rochester and was driving around the area until he eventually stopped at Roseland.
Jones consented to standardized field sobriety tests, which showed significant signs of drug impairment.
Jones was ultimately taken into custody and transported to the Ontario County Jail for pre-arraignment detention.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
