A review of surveillance footage from a local gas station led Penn Yan Police to make an arrest for a larceny complaint.
Russell Aliff was identified as the alleged perpetrator and charged him with petit larceny. The video also showed Aliff drove to the scene while his license was revoked. Officers contacted the 36-year-old and he turned himself in.
Aliff was also charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without an Ignition Interlock device.
