The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office recovered a car that was stolen out of the city of Rochester following the investigation into a suspicious vehicle complaint in the town of Victor.
Michael McKenzie, of Rochester, is accused of having driven a stolen car while intoxicated. The 35-year-old is currently being held at the Ontario County Jail on charges of driving while ability impaired by drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, all felonies, and criminal possession of stolen property.
The stolen vehicle was returned to its owner.
McKenzie will answer the charges in Victor Town Court on a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
