A Steuben County woman was arrested on a drug charge following a traffic stop in Seneca Falls.
During the traffic stop for the operator driving with a suspended registration, Seneca Falls Police determined that Tasha Stocum was also driving with a suspended license. During her arrest, Stocum was allegedly found to be in possession of Oxycodone, a controlled substance, which was not prescribed to her.
Stocum was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration.
Stocum was processed and released on an appearance ticket and will appear in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
