A Steuben County woman is facing felony charges after she reportedly set fire to a gas station.
In addition to setting fire to the Fasttrac Gas Station in Riverside, the suspect, Abbi Fuller, of Painted Post, had a knife and made threats to harm passersby and firefighters and upon arrival of police, threatened to kill officers. A plan was put in place by Corning, Painted Post, State Police, and the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Painted Post Fire Department, and the suspect was taken into custody without injuries and the fire was put out. There was no official word on the extent of damage caused by the fire to the building.
The 37-year-old Fuller was charged with arson, menacing a police officer, and criminal mischief, all felonies, along with misdemeanor charges of arson, criminal possession of a weapon, and menacing.
Fuller was released from police custody following her arraignment.
