A Steuben County woman is facing drug charges following a traffic stop in the village of Bath.
It is alleged that Stephanie Short, who was a passenger in the car that was stopped, was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and crack cocaine.
The 36-year-old Savona woman was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, one a felony and one a misdemeanor. Short was sent to the Steuben County Jail following her arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
