Steuben County Woman Accused of Bringing Fentanyl Into County Jail

SHARE NOW

A Steuben County woman was charged with trespass on Christmas Day.

It is alleged that Robin Clark, of Pulteney, was at a home in the town of Prattsburgh that she was ordered to stay away from by a valid Order of Protection.

It is further alleged by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office that Clark brought suspected fentanyl into the Steuben County Jail while being booked. After being thoroughly searched in person, officers operating the jail’s newly installed live body scanner identified possible contraband on Clark, which was then found to contain alleged fentanyl.

The 35-year-old Clark was charged with introducing prison contraband, a felony, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminal contempt.

Clark was held at the Steuben County Jail in lieu of bail.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
