A supervisor of one Steuben County town is facing felony criminal charges following an investigation by the Sheriff’s Department and the New York State Department of Labor.
Corning Town Supervisor Jenniffer Mullen was arrested this week on charges of grand larceny, falsifying business records, and submitting a false document for filing. It is alleged that Mullen offered a false instrument for filing to the New York State Department of Labor and received benefits over $1,000, which she was not eligible to receive.
Mullen was released on an appearance ticket for Corning Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
