A Bath man was charged with falsely reporting an incident following an investigation into a possible Order of Protection violation.
On Wednesday afternoon, officers were dispatched to the Family Dollar store on West Washington Street in Bath. After speaking with witnesses and the caller, Joshua Morey, it was determined that the allegations Morey made were not true.
The 32-year-old was released on an appearance ticket for Bath Village Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
