A Steuben County man is facing a charge of attempted murder as a violent felony following the investigation into an assault.
Law enforcement responded to a residence in the town of Erwin late Tuesday afternoon and found a 54-year-old victim suffering from injuries received during an altercation with the suspect, 59-year-old John Marvin, the Second. The victim was airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre and is currently listed in critical condition.
In addition to the attempted murder charge, Marvin, who resides in Painted Post, was charged with felony assault. Marvin was sent to Steuben County Jail to await arraignment.
