A one-car accident in Steuben County resulted in the arrest of the driver.
It is alleged that Scott Hotaling, of Addison, was driving on County Route 119 in Addison when he drove off the road. A roadside investigation determined Hotaling was intoxicated. When police attempted to take him into custody, the 53-year-old is accused of resisting.
Hotaling was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated greater than .18%, Failure to Keep Right and resisting arrest.
Hotaling was released on an appearance ticket for Addison Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
