Steuben County Man Arrested on Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop

SHARE NOW

A late-night traffic stop in the village of Bath Sunday night resulted in drug charges against a Steuben County man.

When the passengers were asked by State Police to exit the car, drug paraphernalia was spotted on the floorboard. Additional drugs were located in the car and on the front seat passenger. One gram of suspected methamphetamine crystal, methamphetamine residue, suboxone tablets without a prescription, and digital scales along with drug paraphernalia were found.

42-year-old Robert Wright, of Campbell, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. The rear-seat passenger, 44-year-old Terry Bulkley, of Bath, was taken into custody on an active warrant out of the Corning Police Department.

Both individuals were set for arraignment on Monday at the Steuben County Jail.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
