A Steuben County man is facing charges after State Police say he purposely struck two people with the Cadillac SUV he was driving.
The victims were hit while on a farm equipment access path adjacent to the Pine Knoll trailer park in Hornellsville. One of the victims, a 56-year-old, suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital and is in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit. The other victim, a 57-year-old suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was released from Hornell hospital.
The driver, 40-year-old Walter Golden, of Arkport, was charged with two felony counts of assault.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
