A Steuben County man has been arrested on a felony charge of making a terroristic threat.
The arrest stems from a traffic stop on Interstate 86 in the town of Campbell. During the stop, Shawn Peterson called Steuben County 911 and made threats against the responding Troopers. The 32-year-old Addison man was brought to the Steuben County Jail to await arraignment.
Another person in the car, 38-year-old Mary Stevens, of Addison, was reportedly uncooperative during the traffic stop and resisted when asked to leave the car. She was charged with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
The investigation is ongoing.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
