A Steuben County man was arrested for allegedly strangling a woman and attempting to prevent her from calling 911.
According to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, the alleged incident involving 29-year-old Richard Wilson happened during a domestic dispute which resulted in the victim being injured.
The Woodhull man was charged with felony strangulation along with assault and criminal mischief.
Wilson was released from custody after his arraignment in CAP Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
