The investigation into a disturbance on West Washington Street in the village of Bath resulted in the arrest of a Steuben County man.
During the investigation, Warren Harwood allegedly failed to provide his name and gave false names because he had an active warrant through the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office. The 27-year-old Hornell man was charged with criminal impersonation and was released on an appearance ticket for Bath Village Court.
Police then turned Harwood over to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office on his warrant.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
