A Steuben County couple has been arrested for animal neglect.
The charges against 41-year-old Shawn Semple and 23-year-old Emma Miller were filed after police investigated a report of several malnourished and neglected dogs at their town of Cohocton residence. Six puppies and seven adult dogs were seized by the Finger Lakes SPCA and the Hornell Humane Society.
Semple and Miller were each charged with failure to provide proper sustenance and were released on appearance tickets.
