A Sterling man is scheduled to appear in court this afternoon following his arrest on February 28th for his role in a domestic incident.
Through an investigation by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, it was determined that 39-year-old Brett Denison had allegedly threatened to cause physical harm to a victim. Dennison was detained on scene due to his actions and statements before being taken to Auburn Community Hospital. While detained, Dennison is accused of kicking and spitting on deputies. Once he was treated and released from the hospital, Dennison was arrested on two warrants, both charging him with harassment. He was also charged with obstructing governmental administration.
Dennis is set to appear in Sterling Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
