A person wanted by the Norfolk, Virginia, Police Department was captured in the city of Ithaca.
Ithaca Police took John Tolley, Junior, of Staten Island, into custody in the 100 block of East Green Street after receiving a tip from the community. Tolley was wanted for allegedly violating the terms of his probation for numerous crimes including grand larceny, credit card fraud, and credit card larceny.
Tolley was taken into custody and charged with being a Fugitive from Justice and was sent to Tompkins County Jail to await extradition to Virginia.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
