A Stanley man has been indicted for injuring a Yates County Sheriff’s Deputy.
The incident involving Brian Lindsay happened last Monday when the 39-year-old allegedly resisted arrest and injured a deputy. The extent of the injuries the deputy suffered was not disclosed. The indictment charges Lindsay with assault resulting in an injury, resisting arrest, and obstructing governmental administration.
Lindsay was brought to Yates County Jail to await arraignment in the next session of county court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
