A Springport man is facing a grand larceny charge after reselling a vehicle that no longer belonged to him.
According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, 56-year-old Donald Harvey Jr sold a vehicle to the alleged victim. After purchasing the vehicle, they returned it for maintenance on the brakes. Harvey is accused of never returning the vehicle and instead reselling it to another person.
Harvey was arrested on September 6 and issued an appearance ticket for Springport Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
