SHARE NOW

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the Wayne County Department of Social Services, reports the arrest of a Town of Sodus Point woman following an investigation into a fraud complaint in the Town of Lyons.

Deputies arrested Amy L. Gonzalez, age 40, of Lake Road in the Town of Sodus Point for Petit Larceny and Misuse of Food Stamps, both misdemeanors. The charges stem from an investigation into a fraud complaint and it is alleged that Gonzalez, who was a recipient of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), allowed two individuals to use her benefit card in the amount of $636.66, which violates the agreement.

Gonzalez was released on an appearance ticket and is set to appear in the Town of Lyons Court at a later date to answer the charges.
