A Sodus man was arrested Tuesday night on a warrant issued by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
The charges against Alfred Sebring stem from an incident when he was being arrested for a prior incident in January of 2022 for warrants issued out of Yates County. During this incident, it is alleged Sebring began to physically resist deputies while attempting to effect his arrest. It is further alleged that Sebring obstructed deputies from performing their official duties. Sebring was charged with obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest. He was issued an appearance ticket following the original incident to appear in Village of Clyde Court but never did.
Sebring turned himself in on Tuesday and was released following his arraignment in Wayne County CAP Court.
Sebring was then arrested by the Yates County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday night upon his release from Wayne County Jail. He was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear in court. Sebring was brought to the Yates County Public Safety Building to await CAP Court arraignment.
