A traffic stop at State Route 104 and Town Line Road in the town of Williamson Monday night resulted in the arrest of a Wayne County man.
During their roadside investigation, deputies detected an odor of a consumed alcoholic beverage upon Brian Hillen’s breath. Deputies administered standardized field sobriety testing upon the 63-year-old Sodus man, who reportedly performed poorly and was subsequently arrested for DWI. Hillen was brought to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office where he submitted to a chemical test yielding a BAC of .14%.
Hillen was charged with DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and unregistered motor vehicle. He will appear in Williamson Town Court at a later date for further court action.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
