A man has been arrested in Sodus and charged after an incident involving an underage family member.
Deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested 48-year-old Patrick Carroll on Monday after responding to the family altercation. It is alleged that Carroll engaged in a physical altercation with a family member under the age of 17, shoving them to the ground and applying pressure to their neck. Carroll was charged with harassment, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal obstruction of breathing.
Carroll was transported to the Wayne County Jail for arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
