Sodus Man Arrested Following Domestic Dispute

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Sodus man following an investigation into a Domestic Incident that occurred in the Town of Sodus.

Deputies arrested John A. Pryor, 64, of Newark St, Sodus for 1 Count of Criminal Mischief in the 4^th Degree and 1 Count of Harassment in the 2^nd Degree.  The charges stem from an investigation into a domestic incident in the Town of Sodus where it is alleged that Pryor physically pushed the victim who was trying to leave their apartment during an altercation. Furthermore it is alleged that when the victim attempted to call 911, Pryor grabbed the victim’s cell phone from the victim’s hand and refused to allow her to communicate a request for emergency assistance from the police.  Pryor was arrested and transported to the Wayne County Jail where he awaits CAP arraignment before the presiding Judge.

Pryor is to appear in the Town of Sodus Court at a later date for further court proceedings.
