A Sodus man was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office following an investigation into a domestic incident.
It is alleged that Daniel Sigel was involved in a verbal altercation with the victim and physically blocked that person from entering their home. It is further alleged that Sigel struck the victim in the face and shoved them down the stairs of the residence, resulting in injuries. Police say the alleged incident occurred in the immediate presence of an 8-year-old child.
Sigel was charged with harassment and endangering the welfare of a child.
The 34-year-old awaits arraignment and will appear in Sodus Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
