Shortsville Man Arrested on Criminal Contempt Charge

A Shortsville man was arrested Wednesday on a criminal contempt charge.

During a routine traffic stop, Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies determined Jose Figueroa was the restricted party on a full stay-away order of protection. The protected party was in the car at the time of the stop.

In addition to the criminal contempt charge, Figueroa was issued multiple traffic tickets and was transported to the Ontario County Jail for processing.

Figueroa will return to Family Court and Victor Town Court at a later date to answer his charges.
