A Summerhill man is facing multiple charges after nearly causing an accident while stalking a woman in Cayuga County.
Sheriff Brian Schenck reports the Friday arrest of Justin Kellogg on the charges of Stalking and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
At around 10:00p on Wednesday, deputies received a call from a woman alleging that the 37-year-old had followed her from the Moravia Speedway to Summerhill while she was driving with two young children. Kellogg is also accused of pulling his car in front of the victim several times, nearly causing an accident.
Kellogg’s whereabouts were unknown at the time of the call so deputies applied for a warrant on the aforementioned charges.
Two days later, early Friday morning, deputies pulled over a vehicle they believed Kellogg was in. After the vehicle stopped, Kellogg left the vehicle, fleeing on foot into a wooded area. He was found and placed into custody.
Following arraignment, Kellogg was released on appearance tickets for Summerhill Town Court at a later date. An order of protection was also issued.
