A Rochester woman was arrested after refusing to pull over her vehicle for a Cayuga County Sheriff’s Deputy.
According to Sheriff Brian Schenck, the incident happened just after 10:00p on July 24 when a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle on State Route 370 in the Town of Victory for failing to keep right. Danyelle Demchock continued traveling westbound before stopping at the intersection of Rt 370 and Ridge Rd in the Town of Red Creek in Wayne County.
While the deputy was investigating, Demchock pulled away from the deputy, Demchock got back in her vehicle and fled while maintaining legal speeds. The deputy, along with a state trooper, followed with their emergency lights on behind her.
With the assistance of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Demcock’s vehicle was eventually stopped.
Demchock was charged with misdemeanor counts of Obstructing Governmental Administration and Resisting Arrest and a traffic ticket for Failure to Keep Right.
Demchcock is set to appear in Victory Town Court on Wednesday to answer the charges against her.
