A registered sex offender in Moravia has been arrested for allegedly touching a person while she slept.
According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested Arthur Kenyon just before 9:00p on Thursday for Forcible Touching, a misdemeanor.
A sheriff’s deputy and state trooper were called to the Town of Moravia roughly two hours earlier after the victim alleged the 64-year-old level 3 registered sex offender “grabbed her in an intimate area of her body without her consent, while she slept.”
Kenyon was placed into custody and taken to the Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail/$10,000 bond. He is set to appear in Moravia Town Court at a later date and time.
An order of protection was issued on the victim’s behalf.
