A Cayuga County woman is facing charges after allegedly threatening a man with a kitchen knife and assaulting him.
The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office reports responding to a residence in the Town of Mentz around 4:13p on Saturday for the report of a domestic violence incident. On scene, deputies met with a man who claimed that 60-year-old Lisa Lucio of Mentz threatened him with a kitchen.
Deputies say the man went on to say that he was able to get the knife away from Lucio during the altercation, but she then bit him on the arm, and caused property damage when she threw a cellphone inside the home.
Lucio was charged with Menacing, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Attempted Assault, and Assault, and taken into custody. Upon processing, she was taken to the Cayuga County Jail for arraignment. She was then released and scheduled to appear in Mentz Town Court at a later time.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
