Seneca Falls Woman Charged with Misuse of Food Stamps

SHARE NOW

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Seneca Falls woman for allegedly misusing federal food assistance benefits.

On Wednesday, deputies arrested 35-year-old Jessica Ravagno for misuse of food stamps (SNAP benefits). Investigators say Ravagno failed to report all household income, resulting in her receiving more than $1,000 in benefits she was not entitled to.

Ravagno was taken to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center for processing and later released on an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to appear in Waterloo Town Court in November to answer to the charge.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
