A Seneca Falls woman is facing drug charges following a traffic-related investigation earlier this month.
According to the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department, officers arrested 54-year-old Dawn Beta on July 10 after a vehicle and traffic violation led to the discovery of controlled substances in her possession.
Beta was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was processed and released on an appearance ticket.
Police say Beta also had an active warrant with the New York State Police. After processing, she was turned over to State Police custody.
Beta is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
