A shoplifting complaint at Kinney Drugs in Seneca Falls resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old Seneca Falls woman.
According to Seneca Falls Police, it was discovered that Samantha Briggs allegedly concealed merchandise inside of a sweatshirt pocket while she was shopping around the store on Saturday afternoon. Briggs is accused of proceeding to pass all points of sale without rendering payment for the merchandise in her possession.
Briggs was charged with petit larceny and was processed and released on an appearance ticket for Seneca Falls Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
