The investigation into a shoplifting complaint at the Seneca Falls Walmart resulted in the arrest of a Seneca Falls woman.
Tifini Mills was allegedly observed taking merchandise and placing it into her bag while in the store. Mills then passed all points of sale with no attempt to render payment and attempted to flee from officers. According to police, Mills had been previously banned from Walmart.
While taking Tifini into custody, she allegedly resisted, adding to her criminal charges.
Mills was charged with felony burglary, along with misdemeanor charges of petit larceny and two counts each of resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration.
Mills was brought to the Seneca County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
