The investigation into an unknown disturbance at a Seneca Falls residence resulted in the arrest of a 31-year-old Seneca Falls woman.
Seneca Falls Police determined Jonshay Ewing was highly intoxicated at the time and unable to act as the primary caregiver for her child. It was also determined Ewing was in violation of an order of protection issued out of Monroe County. While in custody, Ewing allegedly attempted to escape custody by removing a handcuff that was secured to her wrist.
Ewing was charged with felony criminal contempt and misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a child, obstructing governmental administration, and attempted escape. An order of protection was petitioned on behalf of the victim.
Ewing will appear in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.
