The Seneca Falls Police Department reports the arrest of 35-year-old Nikita Pierre of Seneca Falls following a domestic disturbance on Friday.
Police say an investigation revealed that Pierre allegedly grabbed and shoved the victim, then covered the victim’s mouth, impeding breathing. She was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and second-degree harassment.
Pierre was transported to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
