On October 21st, 2024, at 1730 pm, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Robert A. Bannan, age 33, of Seneca Falls, following a report of an order of protection violation at the victim’s place of employment.
Bannan was reported to be at the place of employment of a protected party of a court-ordered order of protection and, remained unlawfully at the location and did not leave after seeing the protected party; these acts violated a stay-away order of protection. Bannan was placed into custody for one count of criminal contempt in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.
Bannan was processed and transported to the Seneca County Correctional facility to await arraignment. He will be back in the Town of Seneca Falls Court later to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
