The investigation into a dispute in Seneca Falls resulted in the arrest of a 32-year-old Seneca Falls man on Monday.
During an alleged altercation, Robert Bannan is accused of becoming aggressive with a man who was arguing with his wife. Bannan allegedly stated he intended to fight the man, who, fearing for his safety used pepper spray in self-defense. Bannan was charged with two counts of harassment and a single count of disorderly conduct.
Seneca Falls Police say since Bannan and the victims live in the same complex, he was taken to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center to await arraignment, allowing the judge to issue an Order of Protection to safeguard the victims from future incidents.
