A Seneca Falls man was arrested Sunday following a theft that occurred at the Walmart Super Center.
Jeremiah Hall was allegedly observed by Walmart staff leaving the last point of sale with merchandise in his car with no attempt to render payment. Police say they also found Hall to be in possession of a white powdery substance that was identified as cocaine.
Hall was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and petit larceny. He was released on an appearance ticket to answer for his charges at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
